Directed elementary school operations with 640 students in daily school activities, student discipline, instructional programs, professional development, staff management, school finance, safety/emergency protocols, and parent outreach. Led and coached 40 staff members and developed/managed budget. Facilitated School Site Council meetings and parent involvement activities.Select Accomplishments:★ Improved student learning and created a collaborative and supportive school environment with a cohesive school leadership team and strong staff/student/parent/community relationships. ★ Conducted successful school-wide state Coordinated Compliance Review process with staff resulting in clean audits of mandated program requirements.★ Instituted Student Review Team (SRT) process with grade-level teams resulting in a 21% increase in students scoring at Benchmark and Above in Math and a 23% increase in students scoring at Benchmark and Above in Language Arts on end-of-year school-wide assessments.

Coordinated, tracked and progress monitored data for a large comprehensive state grant that provided professional development for 54 high school teachers from 6 school districts in the county to improve college-level math readiness among high school seniors. Performed new teacher induction coaching and coordinated professional development for new teachers in 2 school districts.Select Accomplishments:★ Coached 8 new teachers to complete their credentialing requirements and clear their CA teaching credential. ★Member of project team that effectively addressed the severe under-preparation for college mathematics in County.

In a specially created position, served as liaison between the school district and a charter school. Assisted district with program oversight, including monitoring adherence to a Memorandum of Understanding, supervising academic accountability, and monitoring compliance with categorical funding conditions and mandates. Conducted site and home visits with Charter School staff. Also served as Special Education Services Coordinator for the Charter school and worked with a contracted educational agency to provide special education services/goals for students on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Participated in IEP meetings as Local Educational Agency representative and supervised staff.

Implemented site-level Coordinated Compliance Self-Review resulting in the school receiving a favorable review in compliance with Federal and CA state laws for implementation of categorical programs. Managed school-wide operations as Administrator designee during Principal’s absences.

Developed and managed a 5-year $1.5M Title VII Comprehensive School Restructuring Federal Grant that resulted in systemic reform and creation of a K-6 Two-Way Dual Language program at Castroville Elementary School. Facilitated development of leadership teams, vision and mission statement, and organizational norms.

Secured $400K+ in grant funding, launched and directed operations of a nonprofit Parents as Teachers (PAT) program based on research findings in prior role to provide early childhood development support services to the County. Negotiated and administered contracts with local agencies and private foundations. Reported on revenue from private foundations, agency contracts, client fees, and government grants. Advanced from Research Consultant to Coordinator and Administrator for the Northern California Parents as Teachers (NCPAT) Program Demonstration Randomized Clinical Trial, a full-scale 3-year demonstration randomized clinical trial and supplemental qualitative study to assess effectiveness of the Parents as Teachers (PAT) home visiting model in improving outcomes for parents and children (birth to age 3). Trained and supervised 14 employees. Developed and managed budget. Assisted in recruiting 500 families.Select Accomplishments:★Established operational systems, policies, and procedures for program implementation and extensive data gathering required by researchers from SRI International and the American Institutes for Research.★Created and implemented a Parent Educator Home Visitation Supervision Model and presented this model at the Parents as Teachers International Conference.
