I'm Aida, a UX Designer with a foundation in cosmetology and the service industry who is passionate about designing authentic experiences for users.I possess a strong desire to be creative and believe in providing a genuine opportunity through design to shape the lives of those I interact with in multiple avenues.In my previous occupation as a hairstylist, I developed a strong sense of empathy by clients being able to share stories with me, while working to adapt and provide an enhanced vision of their look that they wanted to project out into the world. Which I believe are pivotal to UI/UX design in general.I specialized in color theory and enjoyed collaborating with designers/artists in fields that would go beyond what I knew. I believe in learning from others through collaboration and exchanging ideas to achieve once again a vision that I alone wouldn't have come to independently. Teamwork makes the dream work, am I right?My adventure in the hair industry allowed me to get creative, but it fell short of challenging me in a way to blossom. I have always enjoyed engaging both my brain's creative and logical parts. For the longest time, I didn't know how to combine those two things into a career until I discovered UX Design. My desire to help people has not changed. It's only progressed from IRL to URL. I intend to leverage my experience as a professional hairstylist to bring attention to detail critical to problem-solving in user experience.
