Infantry soldier (1 Rifles, Chepstow)??September 2010 – presentHaving completed a 26 week arduous training course, I have been based with an infantry battalion in Chepstow. My work has involved an operational tour in Afghanistan, military exercises in Kenya and working as part of the security force at the 2012 Olympic Games. I am able to learn new skills and absorb information quickly and I have learned that I can work consistently to a high standard under pressure. I have been given junior management roles and enjoyed the additional responsibility.

Kitchen Assistant at Buckingham Palace??2007 – 2010A very exciting and unexpected job working for the Royal Household. Various roles within the kitchen which involved working within a large team to a very high standard at all times. As a natural communicator and also because I was quick to learn, I was attached to the team of 8 who moved to other Royal Households to support the workforces as the Queen moved around the country

Kitchen assistant and Resident catering support worker BUPA, Horsley 2006 – 2007Employed to work in a kitchen to support the chef catering for 18 residents. My role included food preparation, serving the food and occasionally helping residents to take their meals, and travel to and from their rooms. I found that I particularly enjoyed supporting the residents, talking to them and re-assuring them. I learned to understand their individual physical and emotional needs, and got a lot of job satisfaction from this role.
