At Urban Logistics Realty (ULR), one of our primary goals through industrial development is to "decommoditize the commodity." We've built recreational parks within developments to create a sense of community for the tenants who call our space home. We've applied premium design aesthetics from breweries to our building exteriors to challenge the conventional notion of what industrial looks like. We've invested heavily in developing our own technology so that we can solve challenges for our capital partners, brokers, and tenants that have previously gone unsolved. And we've assembled a highly non-traditional team so that we can provide unique perspective that few of our peers can match.In order to truly accomplish these things, a company must have a clear strategic direction, with operations in place to support the strategy. My role at ULR is to guide our leadership team through the strategic planning process, build the operating processes needed for the company to thrive, lead and manage our analytics investments, and provide an outside perspective to our development leaders on challenges that arise during the course of our projects.
