I am Aidan Clancy from Green Bay, Wisconsin and I am a Junior at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities studying Agricultural Communications and Marketing in the College of Food, Agriculture, and Natural Resource Sciences. My freshman year I studied Agriculture Business Management but changed because I felt that my skill set fit better in the Communication and Marketing field. Growing up in Green Bay agriculture was everywhere around me, although my family was never involved in the field of agriculture. I grew up fascinated by the idea of how the world stays fed so when I was applying to the University of Minnesota I felt that being in CFANS would give me some understanding of the backbone of America, being agriculture. At the University of Minnesota I am involved in Greek life as I am a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity and have held the position of Pledge Class Philanthropy Chair as well as being a member of the fraternity’s social committee which has given me the opportunity to lead and interact with different companies and organizations in order to get any task I had done quickly and adequately. I also have a student job as a campus tour guide which has allowed me to practice my skills as a leader as well as a good communicator. I am interested in government relations, public relations, lobbying, and insurance.
