ELFA's European Landscape Policy Group champions imlementation of the Europoean Landscape Convention and seeks to lobby and influence the evolution of EU Commission policies in the area of landscape planning, landscape planning and urban and regional spatial planning

Lead the Institute at a time of considerable expansion of the profession in the Republic of Ireland, especially in private practices. Successfully lobbied FF/Green Party coalition government regarding landscape policy; launched new ILI website; organised a very successful international conference; and was interviewed on RTE's 'Morning Ireland'! (first Irish landscape architect to do so), representing the Irish Urban Forum.
