“Some are often misled to believe that it is the tangible product of design that gives us meaning. Others, however, trust it is the experience we have along the journey that leads us to arrive at such sentiment. I believe this to be true. Emotive design is my passion. I seek to relate to the individual through such story telling by optimising and manipulating elements of the surrounding environment, building narratives unique to all personality types.With my experience as an assistant art director and education as an interior designer, I posses an acute understanding of colour theory, materiality and spatial planning. I use this knowledge to construct immersive environments that entice people to question reality and be presently aware of how their surroundings inspire emotive thought. It is through loyalty to my passion that I have learnt to listen, observe, learn and understand what it takes to appeal to another’s character. To empathise with another is to make us both human. My intention is to use the influence of emotive design to evoke these moments in one another and draw recognition to the empowering benefit of designing with the heart”.
