Previously employed at Barnet Council through the National Graduate Development Programme. This a two-year scheme that involves completing four placements within the Council. I completed an ILM Level 7 Certification in Leadership and Management during this period.Greenspaces & Leisure (October 20-March 21)Completed a six-month placement in Greenspaces & Leisure in a Project Manager position. Contributed to the delivery of projects in various stages by developing project documentation, managing relationships with stakeholders, managing budgets, etc. I managed the piloting of different management models for sports facilities in Barnet, assessing whether this should be in-house, outsourced or some hybrid model.Emergency Planning (April 21-September 21)Supported the Council's response to the Coronavirus pandemic, as well as business-as-usual Emergency Planning, Resilience and Response, in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Contributed to the delivery of major operations, including the setup of local testing sites and surge testing areas of Barnet when a Variant of Concern was discovered. Led on the development of critical emergency plans (i.e. the Council's response to a structural collapse incident), as well as the Borough Resilience Forum's Risk Register.Public Health (October 21-July 21)Led on a wide variety of projects including the Council's Food Security Strategy, Healthier High Streets Programme, Dementia-friendly Barnet Programme, etc. Together with the Public Health Insight & Intelligence Team, I regularly analysed data to develop actionable insights and support evidence-based decision-making. I went on to develop the Council's approach to reducing the health inequalities affecting residents of Grahame Park, an area of significant deprivation in Barnet.I am passionate about equality, diversity and inclusion, and I Co-chaired the Staff LGBTQ+ Network.
