I am currently a student at the University of North Texas majoring in Computer Science. Prior to attending UNT I graduated in the top 7% of my high school class.I have a great passion for learning new things and developing my skills. In high school I did so through membership in my school's STEM academy, a program offered by my school that encouraged higher learning specifically in STEM fields. As a member of the STEM academy, I was placed in higher level classes and received more rigorous coursework which taught me many important skills such as time management and networking. It helped me to fuel a latent fascination I had with coding and taught me the computer science skills to turn my fascination into a potential career. Currently I am further developing these skills through my university coursework.I also find great joy in helping people I was previously able to do so with volunteer work through participation in the National Honor Society and my scout troop. My greatest accomplishment in through scouting was the successful planning and completion of my eagle project. I created the plans for an outdoor education center at a local park and with help from my troop I made and installed six benches and a speaking platform for the education area.I am a great team player, always ready to learn new things so I can help out wherever I'm needed. I'm excited to connect with professionals and see where I can go in this field.
