Administrator, Electrician, Estimator, Leadman
I hired on with Jason and Interbay Elec on Jan '08 and back then the owner- Jason did mostly residential jobs in high end homes. He also did light commercial but wasn't licensed or properly trained to work outside of his skill set, and he couldn't pull electrical permits on commercial jobs because his license allowed only permits on houses. When I hired on he wanted me to assign my admin license to his company so we could do commercial and industrialy jobs. However I was wary about getting involved with him cos he had this glamorous idea of easy money in commercial/industrial work of which he know nothing about, it was hilarious to watch him try to understand a motor starter or God forbid- a magnetic contactor. However his enthusiasm was infectious as was his drinking unfortunately and we didn't get paid for a lot of jobs in a mall in federal way we did for an old friend of his. I'll think of his name later. We still had the residential side of the company to keep us afloat but I lost a lot of money on those early yrs and Jason was spending money on stupid things at home instead of buying vans and tools instead of boats and over-priced garbage for a family who never loved him.Anyway I kept I good standing with him and watched him as his estranged wife made the eldest two kids think Jason was a sexual deiviant and he went to sex addiction class for a while to combat his addiction. Meanwhile I wasn't getting and of my share of the company profits while being assigned as admin.Jason Lapinski died in his sleep about a yr ago (2015), he took some painkillers on top of lots of booze to help him sleep and he had respitory failure and died. He was 45 yrs old. He left behind an estranged wife, Tami, and four kids who varied in ages from early teens to college ages. They are always in my prayers for living with someone who didn't live up to they're high expectations. Rest in peace Jason.
