During college, while pursuing my degree in computer science I started a local web development company. This work helped pay the bills and gave me hands on experience with clients and code. The skills I gained during this time were invaluable and translate directly to my success as a software engineer building software as a system (SaaS) at VeyTel where I now work with a team developing software that enables doctors to identify early stages of melanoma.In addition to my education and own business endeavors I worked along side Dr. Asadinia. With her mentorship I researched and progressed the development of a new age memory device called Phase Change Memory. I worked with complex algorithms, computer architectures, got experience speaking at conferences and published my first paper. Most importantly I gained an understanding of what it takes to be successful in a highly competitive, fast pace, and ever changing environment.
