During this 90 day internship I used Civil 3D and BlueBeam to create and edit site plans for both residential and commercial applications

-visited different job site from residential installations and retirements to 24 in diameter gas main intalations-trained a newly hired employee on how to use different softwares within the company-worked at the Wall Township office as well occasionally

- Worked as part of a team to win construction contracts and help design bridges and sections of highways.- Calculated the price of construction jobs on highways and overpasses in order to bid on construction contracts.- Developed virtual models of bridges which defined types of material to use, dimensions, supports, and gave a general idea of what each project should look like when finished.- Learned that it is essential to have the most cost efficient design in order to win contracts and keep the company working.- Visited the work site on the Manahawkin Bay Bridge and learned what the engineers do on the worksite and how their jobs differ from the engineers who work at the main office.
