After graduating college, my friends and I have began discussing what our future careers might look like. The one example I always use for myself is the stereotypical numbers nerd in the action movie that gets yelled at for saying random stats or showing too many graphs. Think C3PO getting yelled at Han Solo for "telling him the odds." But that concept has fascinated me, why would you not want to be the guy with the information?I recently graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Business Analytics with a focus in Marketing. With this degree, I want to help companies avoid unnecessary risk by using maybe one to many graphs. I have already done multiple real world examples such as working with home loans, medical data, and even running multiple marketing simulations. I have interned with Lighthouse Planning Consultants in order to expand my knowledge of financial based concepts while also growing my tact in office space communication. My main goal is to help expand on the notion that having the data behind every decision is half the battle. I desire roles that will help challenge me and allow me to think critically. I want to be able to present my work to those who need my assistance on making the big decisions, either for a company, a customers base, or the entire world.
