- Worked towards the passage of the "Iran Hostages Congressional Gold Medal Act" (H.R. 1179) in the United States House of Representatives.- Communicated with staffers of each Representative from Ohio, Oklahoma and Oregon daily in an effort to gain their support for H.R. 1179.- H.R. 1179 aims to "award a Congressional Gold Medal to the former hostages of the Iran Hostage Crisis of 1979–1981, highlighting their resilience throughout the unprecedented ordeal which they lived through and the national unity it produced, marking four decades since their 444 days in captivity, and recognizing their sacrifice to our country".
