UWA Rover is a new program with the goal of constructing a remote controlled rover, mimicking that of the Curiosity Mars Rover from NASA. In this program I am involved in the design of the robot manipulator arm attachment.

In the Alcoa Robotics Team, I was involved in robotics projects at varying stages including scoping, design, and implementation. Some of the projects have included: - Robotic pipe crawling inspection equipment. - Autonomous inspection using robotic dog device. - Robot Dog to work in unsafe areas such as tank roof's and under live trucks. - Remote robotic soil sampling.

Having completed the Alcoa Vacation Student Program over the summer of 2022/2023, I was offered to work casually whilst continuing my studies. During this time my work focused less on day to day activities of the plant. Instead I was concerned with long term underlying issues and future improvement, whilst working this role I completed the following:• Learned the PLC programming of a large chemical plant.• Analysed and changed VSD and SEL motor protection settings, leading to an increase in productivity and reliability for the plant.

I completed the Alcoa Vacation Student Program, working as a Mechanical Reliability Engineer in the Mud Filtration Plant. During this time, the skills learnt and work completed was as follows:• Analysed BTT data to upgraded conveyor skirting in areas where data showed excessive wear.• Implemented a caustic wash cycle for samples of used polypropylene filter cloth. The cloths were then tested for contaminants by plastic recycling providers to potentially reduce the plant landfill by 50-ton p/a• Ran safety meetings regarding the installation of new equipment, completing Safe Work Instructions for the tasks as well as PEHSR analysis of risks.• Completed WONEEE (Working on or Near Electrical and Electronic Equipment) training, as well as general safety courses for the site.

My role as treasurer of EMAS UWA improved my skills as an organiser, and developed my teamwork working in the executive committee. In my time in the role I was involved in the following: • Created and managed a budge for a music festival that generated $60,000 in revenue.• Communicated with contractors to organise event infrastructure.• Managed EMAS financial activities, processing $80,000 worth of invoices.• Worked within the executive committee to deliver a 1200+ attendee music event.

I tutored Year 11 and 12 students who are completing Mathematics Specialist or Mathematics Method as their ATAR subjects. I help the students understand difficult concepts and help them to prepare for their WACE Exams by developing their study habits.

During my time on the committee of EEEWA, I was involved in the following: • Member of the events team, helping to run information sessions about Electrical Engineering• Organised the distribution / sale of Electrical Engineering study resources to UWA students.
