Passionate about developing new sensing and imaging technologies.In my graduate research, I designed and implemented ultrasonic and hybrid optical-acoustic imaging systems. These systems were designed from first principles to enable remote monitoring of oceans and other bodies of water from an airborne platform, such a drone. I have also worked in a startup environment on 4D millimeter-wave radar for high-resolution spatial detection and tracking for use in industrial settings.I enjoy being part of collaborative and dynamic teams and am experienced in leading groups and projects towards innovative solutions.Check out my project webpage at: https://airbornesonar.stanford.edu/------------------------------------------A little background on why I love what I do: As humans, we perceive the world around us through a narrow window of the electromagnetic spectrum, relying primarily on visible light. In reality, we are completely surrounded by oscillating waves in space that we cannot see, including radio frequency signals through which we can connect to the internet and acoustic signals that allow us to audibly hear our conversations.By harnessing these same signals in carefully designed imaging systems, we can push the boundaries of human perception and see the world from a different light. We can develop technologies to better understand and monitor the dynamics of our planet, look beyond our atmosphere or into the depths of the oceans, and even diagnose diseases and other complications inside of the human body. I’m genuinely energized by and excited about the next-generation of these technologies and the boundless applications that lie ahead.
