Profile:The Aerostructures Engineering department is comprised of Structures and Interiors Design, Stress, Materials and Processes, and Ground Test. The intern will be rotated throughout each of these groups, for approximately 4 months each. The intention will be that they support permanent staff with ongoing projects, learning how an aircraft OEM engineering department functions, and ending the term as a fully integrated member of the department. They will gain experience with state of the art software and techniques in each discipline.Duties & Responsibilities:-Drawings-Stress Analysis-Materials and Processes reviews and audits-Creation of Ground Test rig designs and support of operational test rigs

McMaster Baja Racing is a team of devoted undergraduate students at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario who work together to compete in the SAE Baja Series. The team designs, manufactures and races a single seat off road vehicle across North America every year. McMaster Baja Racing provides members with intimate technical and design experience through developing and producing a performance off-road vehicle. Students are provided the opportunity to gain specialized skills through on-going vehicle component development within specialized subteams consisting of: Business, Chassis, Data Acquisition, Driver Controls, Drivetrain, Ergonomics, and Suspension.

-Conduct line and downtime studies.-Prepare man/machine charts.-Create and update process instruction documents.-Use AutoCAD to develop and update plant layouts.-Liaise with the Materials Department on concerns of material handling, bin/rack design, capacities, and more.-Perform other duties and special assignments as required.

As a Production Assembler at Magna I was tasked with creating assemblies used for Magna automobile products. I had to troubleshoot Centerline software used in the assembly line and interpret CAD models from a manual to determine if a part is acceptable.
