I am a Principal at Arup currently serving as the Project Manager for the planning and engineering for Link21, leading the Arup/WSP joint venture. Link21 is a multi-project initiative led by BART and the Capitol Corridor Joint Powers Authority, which aims to transform the passenger rail network in Northern California’s 21-county megaregion. The Arup/WSP joint venture will be performing all planning and engineering services including the planning and engineering for Link21’s New Transbay Rail Crossing, which will connect Oakland and San Francisco through a new rail service across the San Francisco Bay.I have over 30 years' experience at Arup including periods in the UK, Australia and Hong Kong, and over 20 years working in the Bay Area. During that time, I have held positions leading Arup's Planning practice in the Americas, has served as a Board member for Arup in the Americas Region and most recently led our San Francisco, Oakland and Bogota offices. I have also held positions on the Board of SPUR and the Silicon Valley Leadership Group and have been an active member of ULI.I specialize in leading transportation and land use efforts addressing complex planning issues with multi-stakeholder involvement. Some of my recent projects include the Caltrain Business Plan, the Core Capacity Transit Study, and Bay Area Crossings.
