Anda Crafts is a startup dedicated to connecting up and coming East African artists with art lovers across the United States. We aim to provide fair wages and opportunities for personal brand growth to artists who are seeking to break into American markets, helping us equitably introduce the world to some incredible works.As Co-Founder I manage the raising of capital, investor relations , and general operations. These roles include the release of investor communications, the distribution of cash disbursements and record keeping pertaining to such activities, as well as management of other employees/investors with an active operating role in the organization. In addition to these responsibilities, I have also familiarized myself with a bevy of import regulations, tax regulations pertaining to such imports, and also the logistics of inventory shipment and acquisition itself.

Throughout my entire career, we have never held large positions in more than a couple of companies at a time. By being highly concentrated in each investment, the analyst naturally must be far more confident in his assertions about a business than he would be if he were to own 100+ stocks. If one wants to own the market average, purchasing index funds is a wonderful idea. For the purpose of myself and my investors however, it is our aim to only enter positions which we are extremely confident and well researched in. Once such an opportunity is discovered, which doesn’t happen often, I like to commit heavily. My partnership does not use options, leverage, or any sort of overly complex financial instrument besides the simple ownership of securities. I purchase things that I can understand financially as well as in terms of their products and underlying economics, and then I hold onto those purchases for a long time.
