Responsible for providing project management and controls expertise to Gattaca Project’s Project Management Office.Key responsibilities:-Management and development of a team of project management professionals-Oversight of projects for clients in defence, energy and aerospace industries-Establishment and implementation of project management techniques and processes to ensure all projects are delivered on time and to budget and with consideration for applicable codes & standards-Providing effective and informative written and verbal project reporting, presenting project progress to stakeholders-Supporting new project initiation; determining technical, commercial and resourcing requirements and generating project documentation to obtain stakeholder engagement and buy-in- Implemented a cloud based Project & Portfolio Management system enabling a more accurate, efficient and collaborative approach to project management

Providing technical and project management expertise to various packages of work for clients in the automotive and nuclear industries. Projects undertaken include: - Supporting the start up of new projects; determining technical, cost and resourcing requirements to support go/no go decisions- Providing project controls and mechanical engineering expertise in support of the design and substantiation of high integrity mechanical handling equipment in a nuclear facility.

Key responsibilities:- Providing technical governance of all projects undertaken- Providing leadership, direction and technical oversight to engineering project teams - Maintaining effective two-way communication with key project stakeholders utilising excellent written and verbal communication skills- Compiling thorough risk assessments and appropriate risk mitigation strategies- Generation of innovative, competitive bids and quotations ensuring compliance with client RFQs and SoWs- Ensuring that quality is central to all project activities and that processes and procedures are followed for the generation of a satisfactory AS9100D audit trail as well as driving for continuous improvement.

Responsible for delivering projects on time and to budget while ensuring technical compliance.Key projects:- Leading a project team of 15 engineers supporting the certification of a light business aircraft to EASA CS-23 type specification. - Managing a project to develop a clutch control system for a novel instant engagement automotive transmission- Development of an MS Excel based resource management tool and financial dashboard to facilitate efficient project controls and accurate billing for a project team embedded within a global investment management corporation- Undertaking design and analysis of electric motors for unmanned air vehicles, including the development of tooling and test equipment, from concept generation through to CDR- Assessment of production processes for both metallic and composite components of the RNLI Shannon-class lifeboat and advising on the tooling and production methods used.

Key projects:- Designing, modelling and analysing lifting and rigging arrangements to facilitate the manufacture of HMS Queen Elizabeth-class aircraft carrier structure- Structural analysis of various equipment for the HMS Queen Elizabeth-class aircraft carrier. Responsible for coordinating a team of 5 to ensure project completion on time and to budget- Static stress and buckling analysis of primary and secondary structure for the AW189 helicopter in order to ensure compliance with EASA CS-29 requirements
