• During my time at STV I reported and broke news on Scottish politics.My work was largely online based with my reports being published on the STV News website, app and various social media platforms.
• My role involved me reporting on the daily developments in Scottish political life in an engaging way but also balanced to meet STV’s editorial standards and corporate brand values.
• Used social media to find stories, new angles, case studies and contacts.
• Provided live rolling coverage online of four elections, including reporting from the 2016 Presidential Election in the United States.
• Delivered numerous stories through Freedom of Information requests.
• Through building a relationship with sources I was able to break the story of Natalie McGarryMP being charged with fraud offences before rival outlets

I was commissioned by author David Torrance to provide research on the political career of Nicola Sturgeon.The research consisted of finding news and feature articles of biographical interest on the First Minister's career. I studied the period from Sturgeon's election to the Scottish Parliament in 1999 to the day of the referendum on Scottish independence.
