Within CSB, I lead the quarterly financials forecast for Medicare Supplement. I performed assumption studies and compiled & explained results to leadership. Further, I managed an intern in their project to improve our assumption review process.

As part of the first class of interns to work in GD&A (Global Data & Analytics), I examined data in detail before building a generalized linear model. My model aimed to explain the variation in savings that various Cigna products see, and what individuals save the most from them. I improved the interpretability of my model through Backward Step-wise Selection, and also built an additional model through Lasso Regression.

Within actuarial integrity, I completed documentation reviews to ensure model changes had appropriate justification and support. I renovated and reconstructed a documentation quality report to be sent to modeling teams, upper level managers, and the chief actuary. Additionally, I became the first intern to be nominated for the "Culture Vulture", an award going to the employee that exemplifies the "Future Fit" culture focusing on teamwork, innovation, and accountability.
