I started my career in advertising 17 years ago working at some of London’s top creative agencies, including AMV, Mother and BBH. I then joined fledgling agency Adam&Eve in 2010 writing award winning work for Phones 4U, Google, Fosters, and John Lewis. This included the highly acclaimed ‘Fosters Good Call’ campaign which went on to deliver 70% of the brand’s growth over 4 years, and the multi-award winning ‘Bear and Hare’ campaign for John Lewis, which won a Cannes Gold Lion for effectiveness. When Adam&Eve merged with DDB in 2012 I was made creative director of Google before becoming UK creative director of VW in 2014. I also creative directed award-winning work across John Smiths, Colman’s, The AA, and McCain foods. In 2016 I joined the BBC to help set up BBC Creative: the corporation’s in-house creative agency with a remit to help reinvent the BBC for the next generation. Within two years BBC Creative was responsible for all the BBC’s multi-channel marketing output totalling over 1200 campaigns a year. This included: BBC1’s 2017 Christmas campaign The Supporting Act that became the BBC’s most successful commercial ever, winning numerous UK and international awards including gold at Cannes, and Grand Prix for Film at Eurobest; launching Blue Planet 2, which attracted a bigger younger audience than the XFactor; and the 2018 World Cup tournament with a film made entirely out of tapestry, which still hangs in the Football Museum in Manchester today. I joined Wonderhood Studios in 2018 as co- founder and Chief Creative Officer. I have been helping build it from a couple of desks and a dying pot plant to the company it is today ever since.
