Around 90% of the Birkenhead branch of HM Land Registry are members of the union, which is currently the highest membership density in the organisation.• Ensuring and working on communication strategies, clearly informing members of the work the branch is doing on their behalf, thereby encouraging member retention. • Responsible for the delegation of personal cases, which involve a wide range of sensitive issues from sickness to misconduct investigations. • An experienced personal case representative who has been seconded to other branches to represent members in particularly sensitive cases.• Identifying potential union representatives and recruiting them to our Branch Executive Committee (BEC), thereby ensuring the long-term health of the branch. • Planning, hosting and promoting the branch’s first ever virtual Annual General Meeting which was attended by around 200 of our members.
