I’m a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Houston - Clear Lake, graduating May 2025. My passion is for aerospace, defense, design, and batteries. At KULR Technology, I have worked on battery systems used for defense applications in space. Through this, I have had the opportunity to put my passion in practice. I’ve had the opportunity to lead the redesign and testing of high-performance, safer lithium-ion batteries. It’s been incredibly rewarding to see ideas become reliable solutions. For example, I took a project through design, prototyping, and rigorous thermal and vibration tests, and finally flight.During my time at KULR, I've also collaborated with talented engineers to push boundaries. One highlight was overseeing a project that improved battery reliability metrics by 30% and slashing costs in half. Every detail matters when it comes to engineering solutions - something I carry into every project I tackle.Beyond my internship, I founded the Houston Young Aerospace Professionals organization to network with other engineers. We've went on 5+ tours of aerospace companies, with ~30% of members recieving internships with its help. It’s thrilling to connect with others who share my enthusiasm for aerospace. I also had an incredible experience as part of NASA's L'SPACE Mission Concept Academy. Leading a team to develop a Preliminary Design Review for a virtual Mars mission was nothing short of exhilarating! The collaboration with experts helped me deepen my understanding of the aerospace industry as a whole. In addition to engineering pursuits, I explored my creative side as a Game Developer with Jedf Games. Working on "Cracked Combat", over 25K+ players played our game within 6 months of launch. Through this, I learned how to work in and lead a team, bringing ideas to reality. If you’re interested in discussing anything, feel free to reach out via LinkedIn or contact me directly at byrn.aidan@gmail.com!Skills: - Aerospace Design- Systems Engineering- Prototype Development- Thermal & Vibration Testing - Battery Development- Team Collaboration
