My duties include collecting and assessing family background information through interviewing children, families and care providers and reviewing documents from police, Child Protective Services and other agencies. Futhermore, I refer family reunification cases to partner agencies, and recommend family reunification options for youth.

I taught 3rd, 5th, and 8th grade Reading and Writing in addition to 7th grade Science. I also taught Oral English to 8th grade. My secondary projects were community and development. I helped facilitate both boys and girls youth camps, fundraisers for our school, grant writing, and extra-curricular activities.

Carbondale, Illinois

I served a wonderful 2 years in AmeriCorps through Southern Illinois University. I worked as a Tutor/Mentor to grades K-5th. I worked as a Reading Specialist with an amazing teacher named Mrs. Rosenberger. We worked together to not only teach students to read, but to improve their abilities as well. It was an experience I will never forget.
