Growing up as a kid with a love for technology, I feel it was only inevitable that I would attempt to entire the IT field. My entire life, I have always had an insatiable thirst for learning about technology, playing with it, breaking it, watching it develop, and hoping that one day, I may be able to contribute to the creation of something that will make other people feel the same way, wanting to pursue their dreams.Something I am extremely proud of, is subverting expectations people might have of an IT person. There is a persistent stereotype that IT people are either introverted, or prefer to stay indoors, or just not socialize. I am an extremely extroverted person, one who loves to talk with just about anyone I can, and I understand full well how important it is for an IT professional to have proper communication skills.I knew exactly what I wanted to go to school for, but COVID-19 deterred me for a few years, leaving me time to reflect on myself and mature before beginning my post-secondary education proper. Now, I'm currently pursuing my aspirations at Durham College, with hopes of being hired as a Junior software developer, or, in honesty, any IT job I can land. Whatever it is, I know I can make the best of it.
