As a sophomore at Carnegie Mellon University, I am pursuing a degree in Statistics&Machine Learning with a minor in Artificial Intelligence. My life passion is using technology to help improving education equality. Currently, I am a Teaching Assistant in the School of Computer Science, where I lead recitations, provide office hours support, and teach algorithmic thinking and programming. This role allows me to directly impact students’ learning experiences and improve their understanding of complex concepts.I am also an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the CMU Human-Computer Interaction Institute, working on the Yiya AirScience project. This initiative aims to deliver innovative engineering education through radio-based and phone-based virtual classrooms to learners in rural Uganda. My research involves analyzing student learning data to understand and predict course performance and persistence, contributing to overcoming educational barriers in low-infrastructure contexts. In addition to my academic and research pursuits, I have experience in leadership roles, such as serving as Vice President of Administration for Alpha Kappa Psi, the oldest professional fraternity in the US, at Carnegie Mellon University. I have also participated in various volunteering and took the role of several school ambassadors in the past, where I have developed strong organizational and communication skills.I am eager to continue my journey, using technology to create innovative solutions that bridge educational gaps and provide equal opportunities for learners worldwide.
