My name is Ana Gomes, I'm 27 years old and I have a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering from FEUP.During my academic career, I dedicated part of my time to participating in extracurricular activities that allowed me to develop my personal skills, making me an engineer who dedicates herself to her work with responsibility and curiosity.Being born and raised in the Vale do Ave area, I have always been in contact with the textile industry, which developed my curiosity for the area.Thus, I chose to carry out my master's thesis in a company dedicated to textile dyeing and finishing. In this internship I developed my knowledge of the textile process from start to finish and had contact with an industrial laboratory.In addition to my personal taste for the textile industry, I have always had the ambition to contribute to a more sustainable future. Combining textiles with sustainability, I'm at the moment working for Inditex Sustainability Department, where my role is to manage the factories' corrective action plans resulting from the GREEN TO WEAR (GTW) environmental audits.
