Hello! My name is Aiko and I’m currently in the Springboard Cybersecurity Career Track. I also work as an English as a Foreign Language Teacher in South Korea where I’ve been residing for the past six years. I’m now in the process of moving back to the United States, shifting careers, and making connections in the cybersecurity space. 💻 What I'm working on now: As a cybersecurity student, I’m looking into beginning a career in cyber defense where protecting an organization’s valuable information and systems from cyberattacks is of utmost importance. I’m currently working with tools and programs such as Wireshark, Nessus, Metasploit and others to further enhance my training in monitoring, scanning, and analyzing security threats and vulnerabilities.🔧 Current Projects and Accomplishments:- Completed 380+ hours of hands-on course material, with 1:1 industry expert mentor oversight, and completion of an in depth capstone project- Conducted a penetration test for a fictitious company and created a threat assessment that includedcloud storage misconfigurations, SQL injection, default password on Cisco and others- Drafted an executive summary for senior management and Technical Report for the client’s IT staffwith vulnerabilities and remediation recommendations- Completed over 35 projects and 50 technical labs that provide real-world context in cybersecurity- Gained proficiency in systems security, network security, vulnerability, and risk assessment✍🏼 Certification(s):CompTIA Security+ (June 2024 - June 2027)😄 Fun Facts about me:I’m an avid Disney fan and I love cats. In my free time, I can be found in quaint coffee shops or in new cities trying out new foods and experiences. I’m looking forward to connecting and learning from you!
