About Aileen Bartels
I have a background in English literature and creative writing and did freelance writing and editing from home while a full-time mother to my four children. Volunteer experience includes editor of Burnley-Moran elementary school PTO newsletter, and PTO co-president of Burnley-Moran elementary school in Charlottesville, VA. Also served as volunteer PSA writer for WTJU radio in Charlottesville. Homeschooled full-time for two years. I'm a registered nurse, and worked on the ortho-trauma unit at the University of Virginia Health System. In 2011, I joined the Epic team at the University of Virginia, as an clinical applications analyst for the Beacon Oncology application. In 2015, moved into a new role on the Epic team as the analyst for regulatory reporting, specifically CMS' QPP, IQR, and Promoting Interoperability programs. I am also the analyst for the Epic Care Everywhere application.
