Unit leader - overseen and lead a team of staff who were responsible for approx 8-18 children every week. Staff were from a number of different backgrounds, some with little English. Organized schedules and activities for the kids week to week, from a range of on camp activities including swimming, arts and crafts, team building, survival skills to off camp activities, including watersports and overnight hikes. Reported to the camp manager every week and in turn held meeting with my team of staff on updates, procedures etc. Looking after both the physical and emotional needs of campers both on and off camp, including administering medication and resolving fall outs/ dealing with home sickness.
