Aileen Hamilton is a Visual Artist based between Barcelona and Ireland.The interplay between 2D and 3D environments is an integral part of Aileen's process in which she moves back and forth between depth and flatness, her drawings growing out of the wall and interacting with the architectural space. Aileen graduated in Fine Art Painting from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin in 2001 and in Art, Craft & Design Education in 2005. She has exhibited her work in Ireland, Spain, Sweden and Japan.In 2019, together with a group of female artists, they set up Space for Art, a collective studio and art space in Sant Pere de Ribes, Barcelona.She is available for exhibitions, collaborations and commisions. She also offers Art workshops and I teaches GCSE Art at The Olive Tree British School in Barcelona.
