Coach, support, creat, and deliver professional learning for 11 elementary and secondarycampuses to support the social and emotional learning (SEL) on campus for both students and staff.

Provided program leadership regarding workplace wellness and supported customer experience for the FreeMinds festival. Supported organization on diversity, equity, inclusion, and cultural competency integration.

Assisted the executive director with regular communications that supported the planning and implementation of high-quality professional learning that improved educator effectiveness. Researched federal policy regarding Title II funding to develop congressional outreach plan, assisted with website workflow analysis, and managed social media presence using Hootsuite.

Certified in 9-12 English Language Arts in Florida and taught high school 10th grade reading, 11th grade reading retakes, 10th grade English (standard and honors), and Creative Writing. Completed the following courses in the district’s Reading Endorsement program: Foundations of Reading: Language & Cognition, Foundations of Assessment, and Foundations of Differentiation. Duval Transformational Mentor Teacher Award for the Duval County Title 1 schools, member of the Duval County’s textbook adoption committee, and nominated as Teacher of the Year for the 2015-2016 school year. Completed 4,000 teaching hours with over 500 students, 400 hours of professional development and professional learning community, and 2,000 additional hours of developing curriculum, creating PowerPoints, worksheets, data collection/analysis, grading, and engaging with students and their families. Initiated, trained, and implemented school-wide restorative justice program. Co-organized an educational, service learning 2-week summer trip to Costa Rica, and sponsored the Spoken Word Club and Activist Club.

Sadie Nash is a non-profit organization that advocates for young urban women. Ella Fellow, in which I founded and facilitated a workshop series entitled: Thinking through Resilience: Families Against State Violence that educated participants about the prison-industrial complex and rights family members and citizens have in California. I also participated as a summer Dean and developed curriculum, organized outreach, and coordinated with all volunteers and students. Co-facilitated classes addressing food justice and theater.

Prepared manuscripts for publishing and annual report for the journal, and corresponded with authors and publishing companies related to journal publication.
