I volunteered at Hazelrigg Meteorological, giving me experience in recording real-world data. For comparability this data must be collected at 9am GMT requiring good timekeeping and efficiency to ensure each instrument is accurately recorded.

I have a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification and have worked at three pools during school and university vacations. As a customer facing role I developed skills in dealing with customers respectfully, even during challenging circumstances. I have undertaken extra training enabling me to work on reception.

I was tasked with completing biodiversity and geodiversity enquiries, mainly for ecological consultancy companies. I developed skills in manipulation and analysis of large data sets in Excel and Approach. I became confident using MapInfo to visualise data outputs, building my GIS skills. I carried out a field survey at the National Trust site Cadbury Camp, gathering and processing data which is now available to the public.

I volunteered with Kings Weston Action Group (KWAG); an organisation involved in conserving and restoring a local estate and woodland. As part of my Gold Duke of Edinburgh award I took responsibility for reviewing the tree trail in Kings Weston woods, taking an inventory of featured trees and suggestingalterations to improve accessibility.
