Empowering companies to implement DevOps and streamline their operations.Spending over a decade in the Devops industry, being part of multiple exits, I realized the challenges companies face to implement a coherent DevOps practice. NimbusStack is an attempt to bridge the gap between DevOps understanding and it's implementation.

Given a leadership role and tasked with taking the infrastructure to AWS:- Fresh project, started from scratch- AWS Hardening; Multiple AWS accounts - mixture of Identity Account structure and Logging Account Structure- IAM architecting - Provisioning Kubernetes using KOPS - EKS- CI/CD using Helm packages in k8s- Spinnaker/Jenkins to carry out the CI/CD- AWS config for infrastructure standardization - Cloud formation for IAM, VPC set up etc

Started with doing devops for the core team which included:- Migrating microservices from bare metal to VMs in IBM SoftLayer- Automating VM provisioning using SoftLayer API- Implementing monitoring- Centralized logging- Configuration management using Ansible- Upgrading/Automating/Managing Cassandra- Managing Apache Kafka

- Driving DevOps at Flipagram.- Overall responsibility for creating Production, non-Production environment in AWS VPC. - Other responsibilities include setting up multi-DC Cassandra, implement monitoring, and centralized logging etc.- Infrastructure management through saltstack.- Automating VPC, server provisioning through Python Boto.- Maintaining/improving Cassandra setup.- Research/investigate new technologies and adopt them to make infrastructure more robust and easy to manage.Flipagram makes it incredibly easy for anyone with a phone to create and share compelling visual stories using their photos, videos and music. - Rebuilding Production/ non production infrastructure from scratch.- Implemented continuous deployment process using Buildbot and Jenkins.- Managed large Cassandra production cluster.- Setup monitoring using Sensu.- Setup centralized logging; ELK setup.- Wrote orchestration layer for fully automating provisioning of infrastructure (including setting up of Amazon Web Services VPCs etc) for various products. It’s a plug and play setup where we can just roll a new product (fully automated) and it would be integrated automatically in to our existing CI/CD, monitoring (DevOps) setup.- Used SaltStack to carry out configuration management.- Successfully brought down AWS bill by more than 50% through right resource allocation.

Maintain and enhance Production infrastructure on Amazon Elastic Cloud and Virtual Private cloud architecturally and from service’s perspective. Keep a track of latest technologies and integrate them in the infrastructure.Automated server deployment and scalability in Amazon EC2 environment with failover support.Responsible for code deployment on various environments. Developed scripts to update code in over 30 servers in within 2 minutes. Launched over 35 high traffic website including jenniferlopez.com, walk.walgreens.com, jwoww.com getting hits up to 6 million views.Implemented Nagios Monitoring tool, Cacti Graphic Solution.Implemented Puppet administrative engine to spawn new servers with right configuration.Maintaining Multi zone data backup on Amazon EC2, S3. Locally maintaining data archives using daily/weekly/monthly log rotate scheme.
