About Aimee Babarsky

My adult work life began with an internship in R&D at Mylan Pharmaceuticals while earning my bachelor’s degree in chemistry at West Virginia University. I learned quickly that the gift of gab was something I was blessed with, but not all lab people were alike, and pivoted to taking a full-time position in the Breast Cancer Program at West Virginia University in their Clinical Trials Research Unit. I met my husband and moved to Oklahoma City in October 2012, transitioning into the University of Oklahoma Health Science Campus and the Section of Genetics. Shortly after, I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) and was forced into a work hiatus to focus on my health. Forever a Capricorn, I got bored on this break and couldn’t shake the idea that I’d be happy with a part-time retail job – I like to say the rest is history at that point. I have found two aspects of retail which I particularly enjoy: client service/relationships and operational acumen. Forever a chemist, I have been able to solve challenging situations as they present themselves in the retail environment. Likewise, I strive to improve processes to determine optimal operating processes so that the client may be the actual focus during functioning hours. I have received accolades both at Kendra Scott for demonstrating my leadership skills and at Michael Kors for hitting sales targets and exceeding clienteling goals. These positive highlights have helped to reiterate that I am on the right path and I truly do feel I've found what makes me tick in working in retail. I love fun and helping people have fun with fashion and life itself. I am an ESFJ, so I am people-oriented and care deeply about the relationships I form. I’m a dog mom, someone who finds peace in the mountains, and I always make the Aimee Double version of each cocktail I craft.
