Aimee Ortiz-Day graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Biomedical Science. She is the mother of two young men who are adventurous, funny and kind. She joined the Center on Disability and Development at Texas A&M University in 2014 and manages several projects that support person centered practices, increase self-advocacy skills and promote the inclusion of individuals with disabilities in their communities. As a certified Person Centered Thinking Mentor Trainer, she strives to incorporate Person Centered Practices in all aspects of her professional and personal life. Aimee has spoken in multiple conferences and provided training for educators, law enforcement officers, individuals with disabilities, families and professionals.
