I spent 18 years working as a Director of Operations for a not-for-profit Buying Cooperative for Consumer Electronics, Appliances, and Furniture. We harnessed the buying power of 110 Mid-large sized Retailers across the country. Collectively our Members represented $2.3 Billion in annual sales. In addition to the our negotiated pricing programs which including with the biggest brands in the industry, we offered value-added services such as inventory financing, consumer financing, extended warranties, and marketing, advertising and promotional services to our Members. Prior to leaving that Organization I assisted the Membership in recouping approximately $10 million dollars through a Class Action Lawsuit in 2015 for an LCD Price Fixing scheme that falsey drove up pricing on LCD Television when they first hit the Market in the late 90's early 2000's. The Data I was able to provided was instrumental in the outcome of our claim and the subsequent award.I am currently a Senior Procurement Officer with the Arizona Department of Transportation. I have been in my current role for over 5 years. I work mostly with our Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSMO) division, soliciting, negotiating, and managing contracts, for traffic signals, lighting, and Intelligent Transportation systems, as well Roadway Weather information, and electronic signage for our dynamic message boards throughout the State. I also assist Local Public Agencies (such as Towns and Cities) to solicit and procure these types of products and services when utilizing Federal Funds. I take every opportunity possible to get out in the field and learn more about the components which make up our Transportation Infrastructure. I enjoy my job immensely and take great pride in doing my part to in providing the driving public with up to date information and a safe and efficient means of travel across our beautiful state.
