About Aimee Hutcheson

I am a graduate mixed veterinary surgeon in North Wales, with a keen interest in production animal medicine with an aim to enter mixed practice. I also have a special place in my heart for marine mammals having recently become a BDMLR marine mammal medic, something I aim to continue to support throughout my career. While at the University of Bristol I was the Bristol Farm Animal Veterinary Society President and during this time I took the lead in organising the National FAVS Congress, organising speakers, practicals, events and accommodation for 150 students across all vet schools and liaising with industry experts. This also included leading a team of volunteers to make the day run smoothly. It was an invaluable experience learning beneficial skills about organisation, planning and communication, resulting in a very successful event.
