I am a graduate mixed veterinary surgeon in North Wales, with a keen interest in production animal medicine with an aim to enter mixed practice. I also have a special place in my heart for marine mammals having recently become a BDMLR marine mammal medic, something I aim to continue to support throughout my career.While at the University of Bristol I was the Bristol Farm Animal Veterinary Society President and during this time I took the lead in organising the National FAVS Congress, organising speakers, practicals, events and accommodation for 150 students across all vet schools and liaising with industry experts. This also included leading a team of volunteers to make the day run smoothly. It was an invaluable experience learning beneficial skills about organisation, planning and communication, resulting in a very successful event.

Centaur Society Merchandise And Membership RepresentativeUniversity Of Bristol Centaur Society Sep 2021 - PresentI have liaised with suppliers to provide casual and EMS clothing to Bristol Vet students, recognising flaws in the old supply system and implementing a change to improve the ordering process to streamline purchasing for students. In my time in this role I have added to the clothing needed by focusing on practical work wear and assisted in the creation and distribution of unique items of clothing. I have overhauled the membership system, leading to the issuing of electronic membership cards and monitoring of all members of the vet schools centaur society. I have also worked with other committee members to ensure the smooth running and onward progression of the society. -

Through this helped to bride the gap between the BCVA and the students of Bristol vet school in order to raise awareness of the work the BCVA does and how students can be supported in their future careers, as well as encourage students interests in farm animal veterinary. I have worked with the BCVA to improve student support within the organisation. -
National Favs Congress OrganiserNational Farm Animal Veterinary Society Sep 2022 - Feb 2023Organisation of talks and practicals over a weekend of events for 150 students which required arrangement of sponsorship with various industry leaders. I headed up a committee to organise accommodation, catering and evening events. I also located and liaised with industry sponsors to facilitate the event. I then assisted with the organisation of a careers fair to showcase the different roles and routes farm vets can take after graduation.
