Internship completed as part of the second year of my degree studies. Responsibilities included liaising with clients, taking measurements and partaking in fittings. As primarily an alteration business, my daily tasks included discreet hand sewing, the alteration of patterns and working to a specific shape and/or measurements. During my time with Olivia Deur, i helped to create bespoke wedding dresses for two brides, which gave me great strengths in working with fine and delicate fabrics. Some sequin work was necessary, which has provided me with new techniques to deal with difficult embellished fabrics.
