Role includes: working with each business unit to identify environmental footprints and impacts; develop benchmark profiles for both internal and external comparison; identify innovative environmental best practices across all manufacturing sectors; and develop relationships and collaborate with agencies to improve and develop Next Generation reporting tools and systems.

Subject Matter Expert for SARA/CERCLA/EPCRA. Role includes: co-ownership of the Chemical Control Compliance Standard; participate in compliance audits (both internal and with EPA); conduct training on regulations, compliance requirements and practical applications for various groups as requested; lead the annual SARA 313 Workshop to help minimize errors and promote consistency in reporting among GPs facilities; lead the replacement of internal databases (used to store reporting data) through economic valuation and viability assessment of various software/program solutions; provide technical review of documents; notify key stakeholders of significant regulation changes (as necessary); and work with GP Legal and business leaders to ensure compliance requirements are met.Environmental Metrics/Data Management. Role includes: developing internal benchmarking reports that help the leadership drive environmental excellence at GP facilities; serve as environmental leader for GP internal project to collect all sustainability metrics in a centralized database; lead data collection efforts for internal queries, industry surveys and other reporting needs (including QA/QC of data and report generation); and develop reports and charts for presentations at the executive leadership level. Also have extensive knowledge of all EPA data software/applications and conduct internal training as needed.Corporate Environmental Website Owner. Role includes: learning to operate as a SharePoint administrator; designing and developing a new website that serves as the primary communication platform between the corporate office and GPs facilities; conducting training sessions for site content owners as well as users; management and development of content and vision for the website.

Leader of the MSDS program for Georgia-Pacific. Role included: software development, management and training; development of product and regulatory knowledge to provide customer support (both internal and external to GP) and to become lead author of MSDSs for GP products; also led program expansion from one business to the whole company.Emerging Issues Manager for Toxicology and Chemical Management Team. Role included: participating in several trade organizations and attending meetings; serving as a member of several issues teams (Prop 65 Team, REACh Subgroup, Product Compliance and Risk Characterization Team for Wood Products); and ensured that appropriate resources and information on each issue was compiled and made available for company-wide reference.
