BAE Systems provides some of the world’s most advanced, technology-led defence, aerospace and security solutions with a skilled workforce of 93,100 people in around 40 countries. Working with customers and local partners, BAE Systems develops, engineers, manufactures, and supports products and systems to deliver military capability, protect national security, and keep critical information and infrastructure secure. My Responsibilities:- Managing a mixed team of 7 contractors and permanent staff to deliver navigation development products.- Providing real world evidence for IEC 61508 certification.- Technical lead for multi-million projects.- Collaborating with suppliers and customers to ensure whole party satisfaction.- Maintaining an inclusive and dynamic work environment considering the welfare of the wider team.Key Achievements:- Youngest female lead engineer in the history of BAE Systems Portsmouth.- Successful delivery of new requirement baseline to customer and supplier who had previous concerns about time scales.

My Responsibilities:- Modelled the concept of operations for the entirety of a project (CONOPS).- Working towards INCOSE best practise in Enterprise Architect software.- Collaborating with other departments to identify potential issues with integration.- Managed the workload of early career employees within the team.- Balanced a full time career alongside studying for my Bachelor's Degree in General Engineering.Key Achievements:- Created a new framework to simplify connecting physical and functional elements that was rolled out office-wide.- Successfully managed 2 apprentices through their placements to achieve their KSBs (Key Skills and Behaviours) for their qualifications.

My responsibilities:- Worked on several systems to obtain their reliability centred maintenance (RCM) schedules to present to customers. - Contributed towards systems FMECA (Failure Modes, Effects, Criticality Analysis) for safety evaluation.- Engaged with SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) to gain further insight into how systems are used in practice. Key achievements:- Gained RCM (Reliability Centred Maintenance)facilitator qualification through MOD approved training.

My responsibilities:- I undertook several placements while undertaking my education including: Energy Solutions & Services, Naval Base Services, Integrated Logistics Support, Equipment Improvement Program, Product Safety and Major Area Integration.- Shadowed senior engineers to ensure knowledge transfer and learn through their experiences.- Participated in a reverse mentoring scheme working with a director to start an open and honest conversation from 'the shop floor'.- Integrated what was taught at college into the workplace to make efficiency and sustainability improvements.- Became the Engineering Lead on the last two projects I worked on during my apprenticeship.Key achievements:- Representative for the Local Higher Engineering Council.- Organised the induction week for all types of apprentices in my second year.
