About Aimee Miessler
I am currently an undergraduate student at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida majoring in Psychology and Family and Child Sciences. I had the opportunity to work as a camp counselor and work with a child with a developmental disorder. I worked hard to make sure he had as fulfilling of an experience as my other campers did. It was so fulfilling to see my efforts and hard work resulting in this camper having a good experience at the summer camp which made me want to work with all children.I am passionate about helping children become the best version of themselves. I am working in the Kids Anxiety, and Biomarkers of Threat Sensitivity Lab (KATLAB) under Dr. Alexandria Meyer, the principal researcher at Florida State University, where I help oversee participant studies, assist in conducting behavior tasks and electroencephalograms (EEGs), and learn about anxiety prevalence in children.
