I am a leader who believes in comprehensive education and that every child has the right to the highest quality education, tailored to meet their individual needs. Education should provide a range of opportunities for young people of all ages and abilities to develop academically, personally, socially and culturally, to enable them to flourish in our rapidly changing society.I have over 20 year experience in school leadership in a variety of roles including Head of Sixth Form, Deputy Headteacher (Inclusion) and Headteacher of an 11-16 school in Exeter and more recently as Trust Leader for Safeguarding & Attendance.In my spare time, I am an Army Cadet Instructor with Devon Army Cadet Force at the rank of Major, where I currently lead on adult training and personnel across the County. I have been involved in the Army Cadets since the age of 13 and have seen first hand the positive benefit that the organisation has on young people, their personal development and on improving their life chances.
