Retail Environments 2015 Design Award Winner in Supermarket/Grocery Store Category-Silver; 2014 International Visual Identity Award for the Retail Category; 2014 Retail Design Institutes International Store Design Award: First Place in Specialty Gourmet Grocer Category; Innovation Award for Wayfinding, Signage and Environmental Graphics-Medfield.• Brothers Marketplace concept is slated to become a larger division within Roche Bros over the next few years, with additional stores projected to open in 2018 and 2019.• Brothers Marketplace stores are exceeding target sales projections, gross revenues are cash flow positive and have gross margins in excess of 42%. • Oversaw all aspects of brand from inception through daily operation, including: writing the business plan, brand guidelines and naming, product assortment, marketing plan, real estate site selection, décor, layout, equipment and team selection. • Responsibilities also included general management of five premium stores of the parent company, the Flagship DTX location and four additional Roche Bros. locations in all areas of operations.

• Responsible for the operation of ten of twenty store locations. Duties including but not limited to financial performance, merchandising, staffing, loss control, human resources and legal compliance.• Total store sales for FY 2017 were in excess of over half a billion dollars with the 10 stores contributing over $300 million of that total.• Mentor and develop store management to meet their maximum performance potential. • Assisted and created the division of stores by Premium, Core and Value as based by store demographics, to maximize appropriate selection for customer base of each location. This concept was immediately embraced by the Board of Directors as well as the Strategic Planning Committee as an innovative way of capturing market share in our varying communities.

• Led the Human Resource initiative within the company to ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies regarding: the hiring of associates, 401K guidelines and created increased awareness of FMLA within the company through increased training from corporate level down through the store level.• Created a formal investigative process when appropriate as well as proper documentation of associate issues within the company following appropriate guidelines.• Researched, Developed and Implemented an executive bonus program based on pay for performance and company profitability as well as individual goal assignment.• Instituted key trainings for the executive staff and store management on key legal areas. • Served on the executive committee and the operating committee representing HR during this time frame.• Led the search and assisted the President of the company in hiring several key Vice Presidents including the Vice Presidents of Information Technology and Vice President of Human Resources.

Responsible for a million dollar training budget. • Introduced, developed and implemented a Roche Bros. new hire orientation program. The six hour, two day class focuses on the company legacy and values and introduced the concepts of a customer centric company where associates focus on exemplary customer service and increased food knowledge.• Refurbished outdated department specific training programs by creating a program which is structured with a leader’s guide as well as an associate Passbook which acts as a handheld reference guide for all new hires within their specific department.• Revitalized the use of Predictive Index as an assessment tool within the chain in management selection.• Developed a new position within the company called the In-Store Educator which focuses on both the education of the associates as well as the customer by focusing on product education, demonstrations and teaching.• Implemented a produce demonstration program within the company.

• Oversaw thirteen Whole Foods Market stores operationally, twenty-one stores in the legal and Human Resources area’s• Integrated the Nature’s Heartland Stores into Whole Foods Market locations after the merger of the two companies. This included all human resource changes to the leadership team, transitioning store budgets, systems and procedures into the Whole Foods Market model.• Worked with the Store Team Leadership on financial performance, marketing strategy, team leader development and strengthening of morale.• Developed a human resource program which included restructuring general liability and worker’s compensation administration.
