Research under Prof. Noemie Elhadad on Citizen Endo project, investigating Endometriosis with mobile app Phendo. Utilized sparse, self-tracked time-series data and machine learning algorithms to predict symptoms and inform treatment.

Adapted an image processing algorithm for use fingerprinting radio frequency emitters. Implemented the algorithm with TensorFlow Keras and incorporated it into a convolutional neural network. Experimented with definitions of distance in high-dimensional latent space of the network.

Designed an interactive curriculum integrating computational thinking into high school chemistry classes. Led a 3-day professional development program instructing 5 local teachers on how to implement this curriculum. Conducted an independent research project using R to analyze student attitudes around STEM. Created and presented a poster detailing her findings at an undergraduate research conference.Member of the Computational Thinking in STEM (CT-STEM) team which used bottom-up techniques to define “computational thinking” in practice. As a part of CT-STEM, contributed to the development of qualitative rubrics and manually coded student response data.

Directly responsible for the safety and well-being of 18 high school students, both in accelerated Algebra II class and in the residence hall. Held daily office hours, guest taught 3 lectures, and assisted the instructor during class. Enriched students’ socio-emotional skills by enforcing the CTD Honor Code and serving as a role model.

Collaborated with lead scientist in Hepatitis B biology lab to design experiments to find a cure or treatment. Conducted PCR, qPCR, gel electrophoresis, HBeAg and HBsAg ELISA, and Celtiter Glo assays. Cultured live tissues which required splitting cells, extracting RNA and DNA, and creating cDNA.
