I enjoy leading deeply challenging projects where there is no clear path forward. I’m fearless when it comes to complex professional challenges; there’s no problem I am unwilling to take on.I also know that I can’t do it alone.I am skilled at building teams and transforming uncertainty into strategic roadmaps that get things done.As an executive in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology development space, this means understanding how to work with many people across various functions, operate under high pressure, and meet critical timelines. Everything we do with regulatory strategy, designing, and running clinical development programs is years in the making, so we must consider the world of today while anticipating what might happen in the future.My sweet spot is mapping all that out while interacting with people in different departments and levels, uncovering motivations to get them on the same page, realize their goals, and keep the project moving forward together.I ask the right questions, really listen to what’s being said, and gather data. I then translate that back to the team by creating a path and getting everyone on it so they can deliver.My superpower is the ability to help others “blow away the clouds,” to gain greater clarity on their purpose and how it aligns with project objectives, mentoring them to find their mission in their job.This skill allows me to work with leaders of the different functions to help them communicate better and demonstrate their value to the company. It’s also why, after leading the successful turnaround of an underperforming subsidiary to a respected, productive company, that my CEO asked me to do it a second time.As much as I enjoy solving complex problems and driving results, what I’m most passionate about is ensuring that what we’re doing is connected back to a meaningful mission that directly impacts people’s lives in a positive way.And for more than 20 years, I’ve been fortunate enough to combine my love of people, strategy, and execution to do just that.
