Aimee has more than 13 years experience as a transactional attorney, which includes negotiating commercial contracts, handling real property acquisitions and dispositions, drafting commercial leases and advising on corporate governance and business formation issues. Throughout her career she has acted as outsourced in-house counsel for various corporations. She has significant experience representing telecommunication companies with the acquisition of communications infrastructure. Aimee's background also includes advising oil and gas developers and midstream companies. Previously, Aimee spent nearly 9 years as a member of the Corporate & Commercial and Energy & Natural Resources groups of Babst Calland, and prior to that she practiced as a real estate associate in the Pittsburgh office of a global law firm. While in law school, she spent three years working in the law department of the corporate headquarters of a national retailer, where she examined commercial leases and drafted ancillary lease agreements. During college, Aimee worked for a title company preparing title insurance policies.Aimee graduated summa cum laude from Ohio University in 2004, earning a Bachelor of Arts as a double major in economics and political science. While in college, she spent a year studying at Oxford University in Oxford, England. She was selected for membership in Phi Beta Kappa and authored an Honors Thesis titled “Tackling America’s Declining Social Capital: How Microenterprise Builds Communities.” Aimee earned her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2007, where she graduated cum laude. While in law school, she served as lead note and comment editor of the Journal of Law and Commerce and as a teaching assistant for a first-year legal writing class. She also participated in the Neighborhood Legal Services Clinic.
