I worked across a broad range of the law with the majority of my focus on property, trust and structuring, and commercial matters.

During my time at Anthony Harper, I was responsible for managing and leading the Christchurch Trust and Asset Planning Team.My work consisted mostly of personal structuring advice for high net worth individuals and people in high level leadership positions, devising asset plans for preserving and managing intergenerational wealth and families with elements of dysfunction, advising on difficult and complex estates and managing family dynamics, advising on relationship property and capacity matters, managing and negotiating through difficulties within families, trust and estate financing matters, and the drafting of a multitude of different documents designed for each client’s circumstances. I provided this advice across both the Christchurch and Auckland offices.

During my time at Cavell Leitch I was Associate in the Estates team. The work I carried out included:* Advising clients on their asset structures and options available to them* Advising on and preparing Trust documentation, Wills and Enduring Powers of Attorney* Advising on capacity matters* Completing and overseeing estate administration from commencement to distribution* Advising on complex family and estate issues, offering and, where appropriate, implementing solutions* Researching estates best practice* Developing and implementing Estate and Will precedents including marketing material

I led a team of 15 professionals, both engineers and consultants, who specialise in property-related asset management.
